The Ashton KCJ Education Team is experienced in advising on the particular needs of schools and colleges. Clients we serve include King’s College Cambridge, the Perse School and the Leys School, together with a large number of establishments in East Anglia and the South East.

Ashton KCJ has a national reputation for its expertise in dealing with personal injury cases. We are able to draw on this expertise in advising education clients on managing the risks associated with claims of this nature.

We manage our relationships with clients by appointing a relationship manager, who will normally be a Partner, to act as the primary point of contact. The relationship manager will meet the Head, Governors or Bursar at the outset to establish their immediate and ongoing needs, and will have the duty of insuring the client has access to a practitioner with the expertise required to deal with any legal issue they may have.

As a firm, we have sought to develop a flexible approach to charging. The relationship manager will discuss what charging model would best suit their school or college. We normally find it best to undertake regular meetings going forward to monitor the arrangements we have put in place and to ensure we stay in touch with any developments.
